This study aims to find out the preference of the students of CBEM. Preference is the selecting of someone or something over another or others. Preference may be in the taste and quality of the food, the services the food establishments provides and the location of the establishments and their pricing method. Therefore the preference of a person may affect the way on how they choose and patronize which food establishment is the best.

To find out what fast food establishment the student of CBEM patronize the
most and their reasons on why they patronize it. To discover if one patronizes an establishment mainly because of the quality of the food they serve, the location of their facility/establishment, the service they provide to the customers, or their pricing.

In creating a food based business it is required for us entrepreneurs to find out the factors or reasons on why the consumers patronize certain establishments in order to help us create a food based business as well that will be patronize and accepted by its target market and to ensure its success.

Statement of the Problem
This study deals with the fast food chains that are selected by the students of CBEM (College of Business, Economics & Management). The following questions below will make us or help us understand/know about the study/topic.

1. What fast food chains/establishments do you patronize? 2. Why do you prefer those fast food chains?
3. Are you satisfied with the quality of food and service the establishments provides? Why? 4. What are the things that can be improved by the establishments for the satisfaction of the customers?

Significance of the Study
Fast food chains this time are the most successful businesses. We’re conducting this study to know the reasons on what makes it successful and to know the reason on why college students of CBEM prefer to eat at fast food chains.

This study will serve as a guide for those who want to start their own fast food chain; it will lead them to be successful in terms of being a part of the Food Industry. Fast food chains are the beneficiary of this study. In this study they will find out the reasons of being sound of their fast food chain.

The future entrepreneurs and other business related course are the next beneficiary of this study. This study will inspire them to start their own fast food chain that would satisfy their customers. The last beneficiary of this study is the future researchers. They will gain knowledge and ideas on how to conduct a research study. They may use it also as a guide or as reference materials.

Scope
There are three aspects to be focused on this study such as; where, when and how the respondents select specific fast food chains. It involved 100 CBEM college students. College Students are mostly the customer of the fast food chain businesses but this study is focused only to the CBEM college students and not the other colleges.

Methodology
In order to come up with our objective, which is to know what fast chains are patronized by the students of CBEM, we used the descriptive survey method. This method is very important in order to know and figure out the factors that affect the decision of the students in choosing which particular fast food chain they prefer. In our study/ we are able to find out the buying habits of our respondents, some of the reasons on why they have chosen this particular fast food chain and some of their suggestions for their complete satisfaction.

Through this method we used questionnaires which were given and filled up by 50 respondents, we were able to know that it’s not only about the quality of food that fulfills the satisfaction of the customers/respondents, but also the location of the food establishments, services they provide, the kind of facilities they use and the cost or price of their products. Each questionnaire was given to individual respondents to be answered in which they have accomplished.

We summarized and recorded their answers. And lastly we analyzed and interpreted the information we have acquired.

Statistical Treatment
In order to know how many students of CBEM eats in fast food chains such as Jollibee, McDonalds, Greenwich, Chowking, Mang Inasal etc.

Sources of Data
The primary sources of our study were the 50 respondents, of which 8 are males and 42 were females, which are students of BU CBEM. They were able to provide us data & information that are relevant to the study.

The secondary sources were books and the internet which also provided additional information needed for the study.

In order to make the study clear and easier for the readers to understand/comprehend we have provided the definition of several terms that were used in the research study.

This chapter presents the buying habits of the college students of CBEM. The buying habits included are where and how often does the respondents make their purchases, what are the factors that affect their decision in choosing a fast food chain & if they are satisfied with the services by the fast

Table 1 show the preferred fast food chains of the respondents where they usually do their purchases. The results reveal that amongst the Male they prefer “McDonalds” with a total of 7, next is “Jollibee” with a total of 6, “Mang Inasal” with a total of 4, “Greenwich” with a total of 3 and last is “Chowking” with a total of 2. And amongst the females the results shows that they prefer “Jollibee” with a total of 35, followed by “McDonalds” with a total of 26, “Greenwich” with a total of 12, “Chowking” with a total of 10 and last is “Mang Inasal” with a total of 7.

Table 1 also shows that the preferred fast food chains of both Male and Female respondents is “Jollibee” with a total of 41, followed by “McDonalds” with a total of 33, “Greenwich” with a total of 14, “Chowking” with a total of 12 and last is “Mang Inasal” with a total of 10.

Table 2 presents the reasons why the respondents prefer those fast food chains. It shows that most of the Male and Female Respondents chose the “Quality of Food” as the main reason why they prefer the fast food chains with a total of 38, 7 of them are Males and 31 of them are Females, followed by “Good Service” with a total of 31, 6 of them are Males and 25 of them are Females, 3rd is the “Low/Cheap Price” with a total of 27, 8 of them are Males and 19 of them are Females, 4th is the “Sanitation” with a total of 25, 3 of them are Males and 25 of them are Females, followed by “W/ Free Wi-Fi” with a total of 17, only 1 amongst the Male and 17 amongst the Females & last is the “Location” with a total of 16, 4 amongst the Males and 16 amongst the Females.

It can be interfered that the students of CBEM prefers a fast food chain based on the quality of food they serve.

3. Are the respondents satisfied with the food service of the establishments? Why?

Table 3 shows the responses by the respondents whether their satisfied with food service of the establishments or not. It shows that most of the respondents answered “Yes”. Amongst the 8 Male Respondents, 87.5% or 7 of them answered “Yes” & 12.5% or 1 Male answered “. Amongst the 42 Female Respondents, 92.9% or 39 of them answered “Yes” & 7.1% or 3 of them answered “No”. A total of 92% or 46 of both Male and Female Respondents answered that they are satisfied with the food service of their preferred fast food chains, and 8% or 4 of both Male and Female Respondents answered that they are not satisfied with the food service. It can be noted that most of the respondents are satisfied with food service by their preferred fast food chains.

4. What are the things that can be improved in the establishments for the satisfaction of the customers?

Table 4 presents the factors that need to be improved by the establishments suggested by the respondents. It shows that most of the Male and Female Respondents chose “Location” as the factor that needs improving by the establishments with a total of 35, 5 of them are Males and 30 of them are Females, 2nd factor is “Low/Cheap Price” with a total of 29, 6 of them are Males and 23 of them are Females & last is “Good Service” with a total of 22, 4 of them are Males and 18 of them are Females.

Thus shows that the location of an establishment will surely be helpful in improving the satisfaction of the customers.

Table 5 shows the data on how often the respondents eat in a fast food chain. Amongst the 8 Male Respondents 6 answered “Twice a Day” or 75% and 2 answered “Once a Week” or 25% a total of 100%. Amongst the 42 Female Respondents 3 answered “Once a Day” or 7.14%, 21 answered “Twice a Day” or 50%, 17 answered “Once a Week” or 40.48% and 1 answered “Twice a Week” or 2.38% with a total of 100%. Amongst the 50 Respondents both Male and Female 3 answered “Once a Day” or 6%, 27 answered “Twice a Day” or 54%, 19 answered “Once a Week” or 38% and 1 answered “Twice a Week” or 2% with a total of 100%. Thus shows that most respondents eat in a daily basis on their preferred fast food chains.
